Adopting an Older Portuguese Water Dog

For a variety of reasons, sometimes older dogs are available for placement. We regularly get contacted by people that would prefer an older dog, also for a variety of reasons.

This page serves to help link people with available Portuguese Water Dogs within Australia. For a US based adoption list, please click here.

By late 2008, we will have an ex-show dog available. He is a youngster and will be approximately 18 months when ready to go. He must go to a Melbourne or close by location. He needs to remain "intact", and available back to us for stud duties if required. (we don't see this as being a major exercise). He has a superb temperament. There is nothing wrong with this dog - just that after attaining a championship, we consider the show life of our dogs complete, and it's time for them to retire to a home life situation.

Please email us for more information on this lovely dog.

If you'd like to be notified of dogs that become available, please fill out the form below. Please note: Adoption fees vary between $0 and $200. No dogs available for adoption are for breeding, and they need to go to homes that want to keep them forever, not just "give them a go".
