The Home of Bluegrace

Bluegrace Portuguese Water Dogs was established by Jane Anderson. With a life long interest in dogs, Jane first became interested in the mid 90's when she first learned about the Portuguese Water Dog. Her attraction to the breed is what attracts many people. That is:

    • An ancient breed with a comprehensive history
    • A breed with traditions
    • A medium sized dogs
    • A non shedding dog
    • An intelligent dog

With no Portuguese Water Dogs in the country at that stage, Jane started to process to import and has imported several dogs from parts of Europe and the US, and in turn has exported dogs around the world in what has become her passion.

Jane has titled over 20 dogs to their championship, and is now a licenced judge.

She has now established Australia's first purpose built facility for the Portuguese Water Dog, where on 68 acres, the dogs can delight in water activities and safe places to romp and frolick. Situated in central Victoria, just over an hour from the northern suburbs of Melboure, you are encouraged to visit. Here you will see more Portuguese Water Dogs than you'll see almost anywhere else in the world.

Although with a vast amount of experience now in this breed, Jane is still seeking further learning and looks for opportunities where not only can she aquire more understanding, but how she can better help others in the breed in this country and around the world.
